Day 259: Blackhawks Training Camp

Today the start of the Blackhawks 2011-2012 season kicked off with the Blackhawks Training Camp Festival.  The sold out festivities started at 8am with practice taking place for the Robert Morris hockey team followed by youth hockey ice time with Eddie Olczyk.  The Hawks took the ice at 10am with practice and at 10:45am lined up to start the scrimmage game. Other activities include an outdoor festival for the kids, a mad dash 5K run to the United Center and a bags tournament.

Blackhawks Team A and Team B line up to hear the singing of the National Anthem sung by Jim Cornelison.

In traditional Blackhawks style, the teams lined up while Jim Cornelison sung the National Anthem and the Madhouse on Madison roared with excitement to the start of a new season.
